Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join the Brentwood Fire Department?

Come down to the station, talk to us, and fill out an application. However, to be able to fight fires or do ambulance work you need to be certified. This will take 3 to 4 months of classes and training. If interested, come join us!!

What can’t I burn?

You cannot burn anything hazardous, no building materials, paint, flammable liquids, leaves, stumps, wood with paint or stains on them.

What can I burn?

What can I burn? You can burn brush less than 5” in diameter, clean lumber or wood.

How and where do I get a burn permit?

Burn permits may be obtained by stopping in the fire station M-F 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or calling 642-8132. If you wish to burn on the weekend, it is best to set up an appointment on Friday by calling the Fire House or call one of the wardens:
