Reminders for using town owned land
Posted on Oct 26, 2020The year 2020 has brought about many challenges and changes to the way we work and play. One big change is that more and more people are getting outdoors whether that is for walking, biking, learning, or socializing with friends. With about 1/3 of the land in Brentwood in conservation easement, we have the privilege to use a lot of public land for recreational activities. Please remember that while you are out on public land that others may be out enjoying it too and for a different purpose. Please be respectful and mindful of the hunters, hikers, children and animals. And remember that while we do not have a leash law in Brentwood, the State of NH does require that if you let your dog “off leash” that you can see or hear the dog, have reasonable knowledge of where the dog is, and have voice command of the animal.

Re-opening Town Offices
Posted on Jun 04, 2020Beginning in March assistance in assessing, welfare, recreation, building, and planning was made available by appointment only as town employees transitioned to remote working in the interest of public safety. As time has ticked by we are eager to get back to "normal". We have been working diligently implementing new safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both employees and the residents we serve. We highly recommend the use of masks when visiting us at the town office, practice social distancing, hand sanitizer stations will be installed, and Plexiglass barriers on all office doors. Residents will be required to remain in the main corridor for assistance and will no longer be allowed to enter offices.
We will open on a limited schedule to the public beginning on June 22, 2020.
Open office hours will be:
Planning: Monday and Wednesday
Finance and Assessing: Wednesday and Thursday
Recreation and Building: Tuesday and Thursday
We anticipate a full re-opening and resuming regular office hours on Monday, July 6.
In order to minimize foot traffic in the Town Office, to maximize social distancing and to reduce the risk of exposure to both residents and employees, we strongly encourage residents to continue to make use of our online tools which can be accessed online at any time via our website: www.brentwoodnh.gov
Please keep in mind that these protocols will be in place until further notice. We thank you in advance for your cooperation – working together, we hope to have a safe and healthy re-opening to the public. Again, please note that departments may need to adapt procedures specific to their facilities and services. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any suggestions as to how we may help to keep our employees and residents safe and well!

The Town Clerk/Tax Collectors office is encouraging ALL people who have the capability of doing automobile registration renewals and estimates, tax payments, vital records, boat registration renewals and dog registrations either online or by mail. The hours remain Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9am to 1pm and Tuesday 3-7pm.
The Board of Selectmen has postponed or cancelled all activities other than town business at the Town Office and Recreation Center through May 31, 2020. We will re-evaluate in three weeks and may extend this time period if the guidance at that time suggests it would be beneficial. We understand this may create some inconvenience, and we thank you for your patience.
Please know that detailed planning is underway to adopt best practices for a gradual return of employees to the workplace and to work-related business activities and travel. As I am sure you can appreciate, there is a high degree of complexity inherent in developing these plans.
